Question for Children:
To follow Jesus means to do what is right. Name a time this past week when I followed Jesus by
doing the right thing I was asked to do, the first time, without an excuse.
Question for Youth:
The people in the story had lots of reasons why they couldn't follow Jesus. What makes it hard to
be a disciple of Jesus? Why do I make the choice to follow Jesus even though it is hard?
Question for Adults:
Sometimes we are like the people in the Gospel and have many excuses for why we cannot follow Jesus.
Name a time this past week that I followed Jesus even though I had many excuses.

How do I let others know about my faith?
Question for Youth:
Jesus sent the disciples out into the world, but told them that it wouldn't be an easy job. How
have I shared my faith with others this past week? What did I risk?
Question for Adults:
To what part of the harvest am I being sent? What am I being called to do for the Reign of God?

Question for Children:
Jesus tells us to love today. What was a time when I showed my love for my family or friends during
the past week or two?
Question for Youth:
The Samaritan reached out to a stranger and helped him. Who are the strangers that I could reach
out and help in the coming week or month? How will I respond?
Question for Adults:
Jesus tells us today to love God, our neighbor and our self. How will I love God this week?
How will I love my neighbor this week? How will I love myself this week?

Question for Children:
When did I share what I had with a friend, or a classmate at school?
Question for Youth:
Martha chose to serve, Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to Him. Of those two actions,
service or prayer, which do I feel more comfortable with? Why?
Question for Adults:
The Gospel today invites us to serve and to be hospitable. When did I welcome Jesus into my
home through the presence of a neighbor or a stranger?

Question for Children:
Prayer is talking with God and listening to God in our hearts. Where do I talk to God and how
do I listen to what God says to me?
Question for Youth:
Jesus teaches us how important it is to pray. How do I ask God for what I need? How do I
listen for his response?
Question for Adults:
Jesus teaches us how to pray. When this past week did I take the time to pray, to talk to and
listen to God?
