Resurrection for Life
The Resurrection for Life Respect Life group has as its mission
to uphold by our prayer and by our deeds the sanctity of human life from conception to
natural death. We welcome all parishioners to join us!
We meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 5:45pm in the parish center. We will involve ourselves
in many ways with prayer, pro-life education, helps for pregnant couples and infants,
political awareness, and all that furthers the cause of life.

A Pro-Life Prayer for Our President and
Public Officials
Lord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,
Move the hearts of all our public officials and especially our President
to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.
Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the mantle of protection
to the most vulnerable, especially the defenseless unborn
whose lives are threatened with extermination by an indifferent society.
Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to cease supporting any law
that fails to protect the fundamental good that is human life itself,
which is a gift from God and parents.
You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the innocent unborn.
Change the hearts of those who compromise the call to protect and defend life.
Bring our nation to the values that have made us a great nation,
a society that upholds the value of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life
with our lives and our laws, through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.
HELPERS OF GOD'S PRECIOUS INFANTS
The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants are a group of people
committed to maintaining a loving and prayerful presence
outside of the abortion mills where God’s children are silenced.
WE PRAY in reparation for the injustice being performed on
their tiny bodies and remain beneath their “cross” as they are
aborted. We pray for their parents, grandparents, the abortionist
and his staff, that they may have a conversion of heart. WE
WITNESS to those passing by as they become aware of the
tragedy happening in their neighborhood. WE COUNSEL
mothers scheduled for abortion, offering them information
about their “choice” and telling of all the help available - financial, medical and spiritual,
so that they do not feel they have to
choose abortion as a “solution.” We promise to pray for them,
and when their choice is made, we rejoice with them if they
choose life, or mourn with them, offering God’s loving help
and forgiveness, if they have chosen to end the life within them.
Would you spend some time with the little babies in your
neighborhood before they are aborted, knowing that you might
even be able to save some lives? We Helpers in Lee County are
present at the Fort Myers Women’s Health Center every day
they are open for abortions, that is Tuesday afternoons and
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. If you are able to
join us in prayer, call Judy Minahan at 287-1237 for details.
Training for Sidewalk Counseling is available too. And if
you’re physically unable to be present with us, unite with us in
prayer by enrolling as a Spiritual Supporter. All God’s miracles
come through prayer. Please come, pray, and watch what our
mighty God can do.

We are collecting and also
sewing baby items to take to the pregnancy centers for needy
moms. Please bring to the parish center and place in our pretty
pink bassinet whatever you can. Some needs at this time are:
Diapers, sizes newborn to 6, wipes, baby shampoo, baby toys,
small furniture. If you like to sew, contact Eileen Doragh at
489-0784. Knitted or crocheted baby booties are welcome too!
Volunteers Needed to Pray the Rosary
We need volunteers to
pray the Rosary and visit with the elderly residents every
Wednesday at the Signature Health Care Nursing Home at
10:00a.m. For more info or to volunteer call 481-7171.
