Bereavement and Lazarus Ministries:
|
In the name of Jesus Christ, we have established an organized response to the needs of the members of this parish who
are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. The goal of this ministry is that no member of our
faith community grieves alone. Those grieving need to feel God's love in time of crisis and pain. A caring community
needs to heed Jesus' call to bring His love to those who are suffering. Please consider being a part of this ministry.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, and mourn with those who mourn." Romans 12:15

The St. Vincent DePaul Society was founded over 100 years ago in Paris, France, and named in honor of the great saint
who spent his life assisting the poor. Besides working to alleviate the needs of the poor in the parish itself,
the Conference of the Church of the Resurrection helps the many transients who arrive in the area and find themselves
in immediate need of financial help for necessitates such as food. The Society is a volunteer group and
is funded by voluntary donations, mainly through the "Poor Boxes" situated at the entrances of the church.
