ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC AND LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH?
ARE YOU A BAPTIZED CATHOLIC BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ALL THE SACRAMENTS?
You are invited to participate in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). This is a
process of prayer, reflection and study spread over several months, during which the inquirer
participates in Catholic life and worship. The focus of the process is Christian conversion –
a change of heart in which the individual turns toward God and away from whatever is in the way
of living a full Christian life.
We ask that RCIA participants attend meetings once a week and come to designated Sunday Masses.
This year we meet on Wednesdays between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
After a period of preparation, initiation usually takes place on Holy Saturday (the night before
Easter Sunday) with the reception of the sacraments of initiation.
If the overview of the RCIA process seems daunting, fear not! You will be experiencing this
journey with other adults who are also learning about the Catholic Church. A team of dedicated
people from the parish community facilitate the weekly meetings to assist you in deepening your
understanding of the Catholic faith. Most importantly, the process takes place within a parish
community that will support you with their prayers.
If you or someone you know has an interest in our Catholic faith…satisfy that interest. Take the
first step and inquire about RCIA. Call Lea Pascotto at 239-482-6883 or lea@resurrectionch.org.
We have been called by God to do his work: to walk with our brothers and sisters
who seek the Risen Lord and want to learn about the Catholic faith.
It is a privilege to do so.
