An important Parent-Child meeting is scheduled for the first day of class, Sunday, September 12 or
Wednesday, September 15 at the regular class time.
CHILDREN'S MASS
Beginning on June 6, 2010, the 10:30am mass on Sunday is the mass designated for the children of our
parish. Children may
volunteer for various ministries during mass. Children will be sitting with their families during
mass and they will be called to the steps for the homily.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Classes offer children engaging age-appropriate doctrinal lessons on all four pillars of the
Catechism of the Catholic Church along with in-depth Scripture study chapters and seasonal
material to help make connections with the liturgical life of the Church. A communal prayer
service concludes each class day.
The K-5th grade text is Faith First by RCL. Please go to their website,

First Reconciliation/
First Communion Schedule
The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion may be
received beginning with the
age of reason during 2nd Grade. All students who wish to receive these sacraments must be enrolled
and attending Religious Education classes two years prior to receiving the sacraments. Sacramental
Preparation Classes are additional required classes.
REGISTRATION
Enrolling your child in Religious Education is also agreeing that you are going to help us in
developing your child's faith life by participating in parish life; including but not limited
to attending Sunday Mass. We expect that your child will not miss more than 3 Religious Education
classes and that your family will attend various "Family Faith Nights" to enrich your family's
religious development.
Registration fees:
| Register by June 1= $60 |
| June 2 - September 1= $70 |
| After September 1= $80 |
| $10 each additional child in the family |
There is an additional $25 fee for sacrament
preparation classes for First Reconciliation and First Communion. No child will be turned
away for lack of funds.
