The Institute for Catholic Studies and Formation facilitates the need for both post-secondary professional development as well as a growing desire on the part of Catholic adults for comprehensive, systematic and life-long adult faith formation.
The Institute offers members of the laity multiple opportunities by which they can pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through an understanding of Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium culminating in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Coursework and workshops are based on authentic Catholic teaching delivered in a variety of instructional methods including: classroom, distance learning, on-site parish presentations and diocesan-wide video-conferencing.
In the area of post-secondary education, the Institute offers professional development including a Master’s Degree from Franciscan University, as well as diocesan certificate programs in Parish Religious Education, Youth Outreach and Evangelization.
at Ave Maria
Pope John Paul II claimed that “Holiness is, more than ever, an urgent pastoral task demanding a suitable training in holiness.” If you are looking for that “suitable training” in holiness, then you should know about the Institute for Pastoral Theology at Ave Maria University. The IPT offers a Master’s degree program that includes a full cycle of courses in Catholic theology guided by texts essential to the Catholic tradition and taught by nationally known theologians faithful to the Magisterium. The intensive weekend format of the IPT is ideal for people with busy schedules. Courses meet just one weekend per month, from August to May for a three-year cycle in which you earn a Master’s of Theological Studies.
For more information on an application call the IPT toll-free at (866) 866-1100.
