Baptism is a sacrament of initiation.  Baptism incorporates us into the Church and gives us rebirth as sons and daughters of God.  The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship.  Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.  If you are an unbaptized adult, please contact the RCIA program.    (see information below)

 Baptism of Infants
Baptisms of children under seven years old are normally administered after Sunday Mass.  Baptism classes for parents and godparents are held on ZOOM during this time.  Contact: Joanne MacPeek, 560-4386 to schedule a time when the parents and Godparents can be present on ZOOM.  A Request for Baptism form must be filled out and returned prior to class.  Click the link below for the Request form and for the Requirements for Baptism form.

Requirements for Baptism

 Baptism of School-Age Children
Sacramental classes for school age children begin in September. Registration begins in May. If you missed registration, please contact the Faith Formation Office, 482-6883, for an appointment. Parents participate in the preparation of their children for all sacraments. See the Faith Formation section of this website for more information.

 Baptism for Adults
The Rite for Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is an on-going process of preparation for full membership and participation in the Catholic Community. Inquiry classes are held throughout the year on Sunday morning from 10:00am – 11:15am following the 9:00am Mass. Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist, the Sacraments of Initiation, are celebrated each year at the Easter Vigil.

If the mystery of life and God touches your heart, please call; we are here to listen. Each person's faith journey develops in a unique way. All are welcome to inquire about participating in this experience.
