Justice Ministry

We are working on scheduling future meetings on ZOOM to organize our Justice Ministry.

 A Call to Gather and Listen to Each Other, To Hear the Needs of Our Neighbor. To Discover Ways to Love Our Neighbor as Ourself.

Ministry of the Sick:
Please notify us immediately when you register a family member at any of the local hospitals. 
Priests from Resurrection Parish visit the hospitals weekly. However, you must make sure that you are on the hospital list and notify the parish office, otherwise we have no way of knowing that you are hospitalized.

The following hospitals are attended to by the parish in which they are located:
* Gulf Coast Hospital - visited daily by Saint Pope John XXIII Parish, 561-2245
* Lee Memorial Hospital - visited daily by St. Francis Xavier Parish, 334-2161
* Lee Memorial and Hospice at Health Park - visited daily by St. Columbkille Parish, 489-3973

If you are scheduled to have surgery and would like to meet with a priest beforehand for Confession and Blessing of the Sick please call the parish office to schedule an appointment, 239-481-7171.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL PARISHIONERS AND VISITORS:
To protect your privacy hospitals do not pass out information on patients without their permission.

If you wish a visit from one of the Resurrection priests please notify the hospital as well as the Parish Office, 239-481-7171, as quickly as possible. Resurrection priests visit the above hospitals weekly.

Visiting Nursing Homes & Home-Bound:
Parishioners who are home-bound may request the Eucharist in their home.
Parishioners who are interested in helping with this ministry, please call for more information.

Bereavement and Beyond
Prayer and Social Group:
Viola guides this informal discussion and prayer group on the first and third Monday mornings at 10AM each month. Meetings are in Parish Center and include coffee.

St. Vincent DePaul Society:
The St. Vincent DePaul Society was founded over 100 years ago in Paris, France, and named in honor of the great saint who spent his life assisting the poor. Besides working to alleviate the needs of the poor in the parish itself, the Conference of the Church of the Resurrection helps the many transients who arrive in the area and find themselves in immediate need of financial help for necessitates such as food. The Society is a volunteer group and is funded by voluntary donations, mainly through the "Poor Boxes" situated at the entrances of the church. Gift Shop:
A religious articles shop is located in the main vestibule of the church. There are books, devotionals, gifts, greeting cards, and holy cards for all occasions including: Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Weddings, etc. Volunteers are needed for Saturdays and Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Please come in and shop.
